Max Bill holding a class at the art school ‚Kunstgewerbeschule’ in Zurich
Zurich
1946
Max Bill was not only one of Ernst Scheidegger’s teachers at the art school (‚Kunstgewerbeschule’) in Zurich. He was also his patron. It was Bill who urged Scheidegger to accept the commission to design the Marshall Plan exhibitions throughout Europe. And, in a reverse role, it was Scheidegger who became one of the most important chroniclers of Max Bill. He photographed and filmed him at work until Bill's death in 1994.
