India

From the 1950s onwards Ernst Scheidegger traveled repeatedly to India, initially to shoot photo-features for the Magnum Agency, later for work commissioned by Le Corbusier, which documented the creation of Chandigarh - the new capital city of the state of Punjab (see more on this under ‚Books’). Further trips were to follow, among them those commissioned by the former Swissair.
