Bergell

Scheidegger met Alberto Giacometti for the first time im Bergell (in Maloja, a part of Bergell). He was to return this Alpine valley repeatedly and spend much of his time there. For several years he rented the unused vicarage in Stampa and made it his second home. It is from Bergell that many of his photos originate – apart from those he took of Alberto Giacometti himself.
